Costessey House Private Estate List

A list of all the birds I have seen on my local patch between Costessey and Drayton just outside Norwich, Norfolk, which I work every day when I’m down that way. I have been working the patch since October 2011. List updated every time a new patch tick is seen. A species status key can be seen below.

Key:

CBR  – Common Breeding Resident

BR – Breeding Resident

C – Common (non breeding)

S – Summer Visitor

W – Winter Visitor

U/O – Locally Uncommon/Occasional

PR + Bold  – Patch Rare

R + Bold + Capitals  – Genuine scarcity (Rare breeder or vagrant) and above

NB:  As  the patch is still ‘young’, it is unclear about the status of  some of the uncommon birds that have been recorded once or twice so far (e.g., Reed Warbler, Lesser Redpoll etc..). If there is a continuing lack of or a significant increase in records for such birds in the future, their status will be changed accordingly.
